I was born in 1976 in Budapest, Hungary, and graduated from the ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences in 2005, and completed my doctoral studies in 2014. Since 2004, I have been a staff member of various social science research institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, now known as the Centre for Social Science Research. I also work with colleagues from other institutions, such as the Department of Sociology at the University of Debrecen, the Department of Sociology at the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. In my research I focus on social impacts of rural restructuring and changing consumption patterns. I am a father of two boys.
