SciCafe 2.0

SciCafe 2.0 aimed to support participative exchange and knowledge co-generation between researchers and the public.

SciCafe 2.0 set out to widen and deepen the reach of participative peer engagement and support the effective inclusion of greater numbers and wider categories (across ages, genders, social classes, regions) of the public to best harness collective intelligence; including both off-line and other classical forms of engagement as well as multi-modal engagement support through the SciCafe 2.0 Virtual Platform.

SciCafe 2.0 supported consensus solution-seeking and building on social value towards socially intelligent, inclusive and cohesive innovations. It enabled the sharing of insights on how to best promote and harness participative engagement to maximize the benefit realization in terms of collective awareness of the issues, and co-generated solutions – all of which can be enhanced through the SciCafe 2.0 Observatory support for crowd sourcing and informed engaged and thus empowered citizenship – scientific citizenship.
